Plain-English summary

You’re responsible for your listings, pricing, fulfillment, and customer service.
You must follow tax rules where you operate and where you sell.
FitMyStyles charges marketplace fees; payment processing fees are charged by Stripe/Paystack depending on the transaction.
Seller payouts occur after order acceptance and confirmation; payouts can be held for disputes/fraud checks.

1) Eligibility and seller account

Sellers must be 18+ and authorized to sell goods through the marketplace. You must provide accurate business information and keep your shop profile and policies up to date.

Sellers are responsible for understanding and meeting applicable EU tax obligations.

2) Listings and content

Listings must be accurate, complete, and legal. Descriptions must be truthful and not misleading. Pricing should reflect the full costs you intend to charge buyers.

3) Prohibited items and IP

Do not list items that violate laws, infringe intellectual property rights, or are unsafe/prohibited. See: Intellectual Property Policy.

4) Fulfillment and shipping (including DHL where available)

You are responsible for packing and shipping items promptly, managing returns according to your shop policy (and FitMyStyles platform standards), and responding to buyer inquiries within reasonable timelines.

5) Fees, payment processing, and payouts

Sellers pay marketplace fees (listing fee, transaction fee) and any applicable payment processing fees as outlined in the Seller Fee Schedule. Fees may change with notice.

Payout timing: Seller payouts occur after order acceptance and confirmation. FitMyStyles may withhold payouts for dispute resolution or fraud prevention.

6) Taxes and compliance

Sellers are responsible for collecting and remitting all applicable taxes and complying with local laws and platform policies.

7) Off-platform diversion

Sellers must not divert transactions off the platform to avoid fees or platform protections.

Governing law (region): These terms are governed by the laws of the seller’s establishment and/or the jurisdiction specified here, subject to mandatory EU consumer laws.

EU consumer laws may provide non-waivable rights, including for faulty or misdescribed goods.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) sets out the rules and guidelines for using the FitMyStyles platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this Policy.

FitMyStyles is a cultural fashion marketplace that connects buyers with independent sellers and artisans. To maintain a safe, fair, and respectful community, all users—buyers, sellers, and partners—must follow this Policy.

1. Prohibited Activities

Illegal or fraudulent purposes – including selling counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited goods.
Infringing intellectual property rights – listing or buying items that copy, misuse, or violate trademarks, copyrights, or cultural heritage protections.
Harassment or abuse – sending threatening, defamatory, or discriminatory messages to other users, staff, or partners.
Circumventing FitMyStyles systems – including attempting to complete transactions off-platform to avoid fees or platform rules.
Hacking or tampering – introducing viruses, scraping data, reverse-engineering, or otherwise disrupting the Platform.
Spam or deceptive practices – including fake reviews, false claims, or misleading product listings.

2. Seller Responsibilities

List only authentic, legal, and accurately described products.
Ensure that cultural designs are used respectfully and not misrepresented.
Fulfill orders promptly and use approved shipping methods (currently integrated via DHL).
Provide transparent refund and return information.
Not use the Platform to advertise or solicit outside transactions.

3. Buyer Responsibilities

Place genuine orders with the intent to purchase.
Provide accurate shipping and payment details.
Avoid abuse of refund, return, or dispute systems.
Respect sellers and artisans, avoiding harassment or unreasonable demands.

4. Community Standards

Communicate respectfully with others.
Avoid discrimination or hate speech in any form.
Respect cultural integrity and diversity represented on the Platform.

5. Enforcement

FitMyStyles reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Policy.
Violations may also result in cancellation of orders, withholding of payouts, and reporting to authorities where required.
FitMyStyles may monitor activity on the Platform to ensure compliance.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
